Selective spreadsheet Sharing

SpreadSheetSpace supports spreadsheet sharing through synchronization instead of cloud delocalization. Instead of having a single spreadsheet located in a shared cloud system accessible to all users, as well as the system operator, SpreadSheetSpace ensures that users' spreadsheets reside within their own administrative domains and are updated when necessary. Updates, which constantly propagate to synchronize the different spreadsheets, ensure the perception of sharing.

In addition, sharing does not necessarily involve the entire sheet, but individual elements of it. SpreadSheetSpace allows you to make ranges, tables, and charts visible to other users while keeping the sheet in which these elements are contained private. And in the same way, it allows you to insert into sheets that remain private ranges, tables, and charts exposed by other users.

End-to-end Encryption

Updates are transmitted after being encrypted by the transmitter using the receivers' public keys, so that only the receivers are able to decode the transmitted data. This guarantees complete protection.

Data Sovereignty

Unlike sharing done through data outsourcing on cloud servers controlled by third parties, sharing done through synchronization, combined with end-to-end encryption, supports full sovereignty.

Basic Functionalities

Snapshot allows a user to make the current values of a spreadsheet element available to other users.

View allows a user to expose a spreadsheet element to other users, relying on the fact that with every update the element will be updated on the other users' spreadsheets.

Form allows a user to obtain data from another user by transmitting a pre-filled rectangle to the latter for completion. Also in this case, the compiling user can complete the form and eventually update it later.

Co-Edit allows a user to create a shared area by indicating sub-areas and associating them with users who can write in them.

Version History

This is perhaps the most important functionality. Not only does the user importing the data exposed by the user who made it available remain synchronized to the latest version, but they can also navigate all previous versions.

Integration with Microsoft PowerPoint

Data exposed by spreadsheets is made available for viewing in PowerPoint slidesets. Thanks to this functionality, a presentation includes different versions of the data. During the presentation, one can then navigate backwards through the presentation viewing previous versions.

Sync with Management Systems and ERPs

Thanks to the REST API and SDK made available for accessing SpreadSheetSpace, it is possible to insert Views of internal tables of management systems and ERPs into SpreadSheetSpace itself, so that these Views appear in users' spreadsheets, updated over time, and historized in the chronology. A user can then register to obtain a situation issued by the management system and/or ERP, remaining synchronized to it and being able in any case to access situations issued in the past.

Everything to Excel

The REST API and SDK allow any software system to issue data during operation to keep external spreadsheets aligned, ensuring that users of such spreadsheets can access the most recent data and, thanks to History, navigate previous versions.

Microsoft Integration

SpreadSheetSpace is perfectly integrated within Microsoft technology.
